Read more about these partners below, along with updates about Artists Remaking Medicine winning new awards, our participation in an exceptional event on medical ethics with Columbia University, and a preview of Elation Health’s game-changing AI development.

Welcome to our New Clients
CommonWell Health Alliance. A not-for-profit trade association dedicated to affordable and accessible health data by harnessing health IT technology to ensure patient information is delivered efficiently to patients and their healthcare providers wherever care occurs. Formed 10 years ago by a lineup of prominent health IT companies (Cerner, McKesson, Allscripts, athenahealth, Greenway, and RelayHealth) to connect patient information across their networks.
Pleio. A human-first patient engagement solution. They support patients’ onboarding into therapy through human-led outreach — called the GoodStart™ Program. This program builds patient confidence and addresses emotional barriers to nonadherence.
Primary Maternity Care. Helping systems implement proven models for safe and effective maternal health in the U.S. Led by Founder and CEO Amy Romano, the organization has grown over four years to now include high-profile clients such as Every Mother Counts, United Health, CVS, and Purchaser Business Group on Health. Their Step Up Together program provides quality improvement training and education across the primary maternity care ecosystem — advancing safety and equity.

A new piece in MedCity News examines the value of enlisting the practice of “smokejumpers” in the healthcare setting, utilizing physicians and part-time or independent contractors, to not just support, but also innovate care.
“Drawing inspiration from the highly specialized firefighters who provide rapid response to remote wildfires, healthcare “smokejumpers” — in this case, independent contractor physicians — are uniquely positioned to tackle many of the emerging challenges the sector continues to face.” – Matthew Brown, Vice President of Advisory and Telehealth, CHG Healthcare. The SCAN Foundation continues to advocate and demand urgency in health data equity to include the marginalized community of older adults in Healthcare IT Today and a strong Q&A with David Raths of Healthcare Innovation.
“Rather than forging ahead with incomplete and biased data, it’s essential to close the gaps within the data sets algorithms draw from or we risk widening the very health inequities these advancements aim to solve.” – Anika Heavener, Vice President of Innovation and Investments, The SCAN Foundation for Healthcare IT Today.Congratulations to Kyna Fong of Elation Health for her impactful feature in FierceHealthcare highlighting the shifting of the American healthcare system’s framework from expensive and volatile to affordable and impactful only through the prioritization of a primary care-led system. Read more: Industry Voices—The future of U.S. healthcare must be primary care-led.
“The emergence of primary care-led systems of care, with their proven benefits to patients, payers and society, are rapidly becoming the new discriminator between modern models that will rescue the U.S. healthcare system and the legacy models that would take it down. Payers, investors, providers and patients should all be placing their bets on primary care.” – Kyna Fong, CEO and Co-founder, Elation Health
