How should we think of the role of community in healthcare today? Can we do more to bring people into our healthcare systems, not just as patients or employees, but as collaborators?

This episode of Remaking Medicine welcomes Dr. Shanaé Burch, the new interim Executive Director of Community Conversations: Sister2Sister, as our next guest on Remaking Medicine! Shanaé is a public health educator and artist-researcher , an alum of the Gates Millennium Scholar and RWJ Health Policy Research Scholar programs with degrees from Emerson, Harvard, and Columbia, she recently completed her postdoctoral research training with UF Center for Arts in Medicine and ON/OP’s Arts for EveryBody Campaign. As an arts in health educator at Rutgers University, she continuously advocates for health justice and workers’ rights. Listen as Emily F.
