Celebrating the Wins

We’re just a thrilling few weeks away from mailing out the first advance review copies of the new book Artists Remaking Medicine. These previews come ahead of the official launch in September and will be the first time that even most of the book’s collaborators get to read the whole story. A bit nerve-wracking letting more people see this project that we’ve worked on for so long! It is being well-received already, and I know you’re going to love it!

We’re Hiring!

Uncommon Bold is looking for a new visual design contractor to expand our team. This role is going to start with just a handful of hours but is expected to build into more as we grow this year with new clients. Send your recommendations for freelance designers who can team with us on decks, case studies, emails, and promotional materials to claudia@uncommonbold.com

Brand Strategy in Action

It’s not easy to be “data-driven” when it comes to branding work. There aren’t many effective ways to measure the impact of communications, rebranding, and buzz. At Uncommon Bold, we use our quarterly report process with clients to demonstrate measurable progress and — importantly, as a team that always wants to be doing more — to take time to recognize all the hard work we’ve just delivered.

We include both quantitative and qualitative data in these quarterly reports. Led by Amber, the decks include graphs based on our own custom-tailored scoring system for evaluating the quality and quantity of media coverage based on specific client goals, Muck Rack reports to show industry and competitor trends, and BuzzSumo data to demonstrate social media reach.

These reports are a lot of work and at the same time invaluable as a way to celebrate with our clients, adjust strategies, and have as a regular reminder of each member of our team’s contributions to the brand success of our clients.

Check out this recent “hockey stick” curve showing off the media success our client earned from a Q1 deck. “A great testament to the power of a strong internal partner to unlock the best from our team!”

  • A special thank you to our honorary team member and photographer, Kathleen Sheffer, who always delivers gorgeous photos and amazing quality of work on shoots for our clients and team. Kathleen worked with us in Q1 on-location at a psychiatry clinic and in an office setting getting action shots with a leadership team. She is also featured in our book Artists Remaking Medicine in an essay about her art photography tied to transplant surgery scars.

  • Do you have a #wins Slack channel? We love ours as a place to share happy client feedback, including this recent note from our client Vermont Information Technology Leaders (VITL): “The writing and storytelling here are so good. The Uncommon Bold team continues to way surpass expectations (and I expected you to be great).”
  • Congratulations to Elation Health Co-founder & CEO, Kyna Fong, for being honored in the Rock Health Top 50 in Digital Health 2022. Learn more about many more of their wins over the past two record-setting quarters here!
  • As a fully remote studio, we’ve always relied on digital programs to help us stay connected with clients. Now that many businesses are working in a hybrid office, we are evolving and hosted our first hybrid brand workshop for our clients Intrepid Ascent. Read more about the workshop running parallel in a conference room and on Zoom on LinkedIn!
